Media personality Ahmed Shobair revealed updates on the negotiations regarding his son Mostafa Shobair's contract renewal with Al-Ahly Club.
Al-Ahly Club submitted an offer to Mostafa Shobair to renew his contract with the club.
Shobair stated in television interviews: "Some have claimed that Al-Ahly received no offers for Mostafa Shobair except from the Danish club Nordsjælland."
He added: "However, I confirm to everyone that the Italian club Como requested to sign Mostafa Shobair, but Al-Ahly did not hesitate to reject the offer."
He continued: "Como's offer was 2 million euros and negotiable, but Al-Ahly's response was decisive: Mostafa Shobair is not for sale."
He concluded: "Mostafa Shobair has absolutely no financial dispute with Al-Ahly; however, there is a minor detail which I believe will be resolved soon, perhaps after the match against Eastern Company Enppi or by next Monday."
Shobair's contract with Al-Ahly Club expires at the end of the current season in June 2027.
Shobair is considered one of the key pillars of Al-Ahly Club. He participated with the team in 20 matches across various competitions during the past season, conceded 17 goals, and kept a clean sheet in 8 occasions.
