Ahmed Shobier, the former goalkeeper star of Al-Ahly Club and the Egyptian national team, revealed the details of the European offers received by his son Mustafa Shobier, the current Al-Ahly goalkeeper, to sign him during the current summer transfer window.
Mustafa Shobier, 26, is the current first-choice goalkeeper for Al-Ahly, as well as the Egyptian national team, with whom he participated in the 2026 World Cup, recently held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Ahmed Shobier said during his talk on "On Sport" radio today, Tuesday, that he received a phone call from Hossam El-Zanati to discuss the possibility of signing the player for Danish club Nordsjælland this summer.
Shobier added that the Danish club wanted to sign Mustafa in the recent period so he could join the team at the start of the season, especially since the club was preparing for a match in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Shobier explained during his statements that he asked Hossam El-Zanati to speak with Essam Sarraj, director of the contracting committee at Al-Ahly Club, because he is not involved in his son's sporting file.
The player's father, Mustafa Shobier, revealed that the Danish club's offer to sign his son was worth one million dollars, especially since the player has one season left on his contract with Al-Ahly.
He continued that Al-Ahly's response to the financial offer from Nordsjælland was rejection, as the club expressed its commitment to the player and refused to let him go.
Shobier added that Nordsjælland's offer was not the only one for the player, confirming that Mustafa Shobier was also a target for Czech club Slavia Prague this summer.
Shobier continued that he received a phone call from the agent of Danish coach Jess Thorup, the former Al-Ahly manager, to discuss the possibility of signing the player during the current summer transfer window.
However, Al-Ahly's management also rejected the offer, despite the Czech club's promises to the player of regular starting appearances, especially since the team will participate in the UEFA Champions League next season.
"Yalla Koura" had previously learned of negotiations by Al-Ahly's football officials to renew Mustafa Shobier's contract, especially after his standout performance in the 2026 World Cup.
