Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala, the former Zamalek star, sent a message to Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, following the loss against South Africa, praising Bafana Bafana's coach Pitso Mosimane after the friendly match.
Shikabala said in television comments on the program "Al-Kora Ma'a Fayeq" broadcast on MBC Masr 2: "Mosimane is very smart; he managed to relieve the pressure on himself by introducing new players and playing with substitutes against Egypt."
He added: "I wished that Hossam Hassan would have played young striker Hamza Abdel Karim, Omar Fayed, and Tarek Alaa during the match, but today Hossam Hassan played with the starting lineup and lost everything."
The former Zamalek captain continued: "There is a possibility I will return to the pitches next January; my friends are asking me to play for club G."
He went on to say: "We want to add a member to the technical staff of the Egyptian national team who specializes in set pieces, as big teams do."
