Shawky Gharib meets with officials of the youth sectors at clubs to discuss the development of competitions
Shawky Gharib, the technical director of the Egyptian Football Association, held a meeting with the heads and directors of the youth and juniors sectors at the clubs, as part of the association's plan to communicate with the clubs and develop age-group competitions.
Shawky Gharib recently assumed the position of technical director of the Football Association.
The meeting witnessed a discussion of the competition system for those born in 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011, along with the start dates of the competitions and stoppage periods, in addition to reviewing the most prominent challenges facing the youth teams.
Gharib affirmed during the meeting the importance of continuing coordination between the association and the clubs, which contributes to overcoming obstacles and developing the youth competitions system, which is reflected in preparing players and discovering talents.
The attendees agreed to hold periodic meetings in the coming period to follow up on various files and enhance cooperation between the association and the youth sectors, in a way that serves the future of Egyptian football.
