The veteran Egyptian professional Sam Morsy joined one of the English teams during the current summer transfer season of 2026, as officially announced on Monday.
Sam Morsy had been without a club since his departure from Bristol City at the end of last season, before officially joining Blackburn Rovers that summer.
Blackburn Rovers announced in an official statement, moments ago, acquiring the services of 34-year-old Sam Morsy under a one-year contract valid until 2027.
Blackburn Rovers praised Sam Morsy and his career approaching 600 matches, and the club confirmed that he can add leadership, competitiveness, and football intelligence to the team, in addition to his Championship experience.
The club added in its statement: "Sam Morsy is known for his determination and resolve to win, alongside his ability to control the tempo of matches in midfield".
Blackburn Rovers begins its journey in the new Championship season, 2026/27, next Friday with its match against Wolverhampton.
