Tunisian Seif Eddine Jaziri, striker of Zamalek Club, is close to continuing with the team next season.
Zamalek had opened the door for his departure from the team's ranks during the current summer transfer window.
A source told Yalla Koura: "Zamalek officials are considering Seif Jaziri continuing with the team and closing the file of his departure during the current transfers."
The player's contract ends at the end of next season 2026-2027
Seif Jaziri was about to leave during the tenure of John Edward, the former sports director of Zamalek.
Some press reports had earlier mentioned that Seif Jaziri received an offer from Tunisian club Club Africain.
The Tunisian striker is expected to return to Cairo in the coming few days to hold a meeting with Zamalek officials to decide his final stance, whether to stay with the team or leave during the summer mercato.
The 33-year-old had joined the "White Castle" from Arab Contractors in the winter transfer window of 2021 on loan, before the purchase clause was activated in the summer of the same year.
