Saad Samir's message
"I knew this moment was inevitably coming, and I was certain that every journey has a beginning and an end, but I never imagined that bidding farewell to the game I lived for would be this difficult."
"Football was not just a profession or a means to achieve dreams for me; it was my entire life. On its green rectangle, I learned the meaning of responsibility, and within its confines, I knew the value of work and perseverance. In its journey, I found sincere love from fans who gave me the greatest thing in life... the love of people."
"Today, I hang up my boots, and I summon from my conscience feelings of pride and gratitude for every moment I lived on the pitch, for every jersey I wore with loyalty and honor, and for every coach, teammate, and administrator who was part of this journey that I will always cherish as long as I live."
"I extend my sincere thanks to my family, who were the true support in all circumstances, and to the fans who were the greatest motivation to continue, and to whom I will remain indebted throughout my life, and to every coach who added knowledge and experience to me, and to every teammate I played alongside who pushed me to develop and gave me the energy to continue, and to every management I dealt with with all respect and professionalism. God has granted me people to whom I will remain grateful throughout my football career."
"Thanks to my great home, the great Al Ahly Club, the fortress of glory and pride, which made Saad Samir's name and granted me what is priceless, and gave me the honor of wearing its jersey for fourteen years, during which I achieved 26 titles, all of whose details I remember. Whoever passes through the gates of the Club of the Century immortalizes his memories with numbers, titles, and achievements. This is how I was raised, and this is how I learned from its loyal icons."
"And thanks to Ceramica Cleopatra Club, that system that did not wait for time to become great, but was born that way, and earned its place through work and ambition. It was my honor to win the League Cup with it in two seasons and contribute to finishing fourth in the Egyptian League, which is the club's best achievement in the history of the competition."
"And I will never forget any match I played or training session I participated in while wearing my country's national team jersey. Representing Egypt was the greatest honor I received in my career, starting from the youth teams, then the youth national team at the World Cup, the Olympic team at the Olympic Games, up to the first national team in the Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and the 2018 Russia World Cup."
"Today, my career as a player ends, but my relationship with football will never end. I leave the pitches carrying unforgettable memories in my heart, and behind me I leave years in which I gave everything I had, hoping that I have left a positive mark in the hearts of all who followed my journey."
"If I have made many people happy, this is a grace from God for which I praise Him, and if I made mistakes or fell short, I apologize from the heart, for I never intended anything but to be sincere in my work.
Thanks to football... because it gave me more than I ever dreamed, and gave me a life that I will always be proud of in all its details."
"See you as a player... and not farewell to football."
"Today, the curtain falls on a chapter in which I lived the most beautiful years of my life, so that, God willing, a new page begins, a new challenge, and new ambitions, to which I bring the same passion, the same faith, and the same desire for success."
"I ask God to grant me success in what is to come, just as He granted me success in what has passed, and that your love remains the greatest thing I have gained from this journey."
"May you always be a support... and may football remain the most beautiful story in my life."
