Fabrizio Romano stated on his Twitter page that Ziyech will sign a contract with Botafogo until December 2028.

Ziyech left Wydad after the two parties agreed to mutually terminate his contract.

Botafogo currently ranks 13th in the Brazilian league with 30 points from 24 matches.

Ziyech shone for Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam between 2016 and 2020, before moving to Chelsea for €40 million in July 2020.

The 33-year-old player joined Wydad during the winter transfer window and played 16 matches for the team.

He scored 7 goals in the red team's jersey before undergoing surgery to remove his appendix.

Ziyech has also played 64 international matches, scoring 25 goals for the Moroccan national team, and was part of the squad that finished fourth in the 2022 World Cup.
