Spanish Inigo Martinez, defender of Saudi Al-Nasr, has definitively settled his future after reaching an agreement with his club to extend his contract for an additional season, thereby ending all the speculations raised in recent weeks about the possibility of his free departure during the current summer transfer window.

According to what Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed, Martinez will continue to defend Al-Nasr's colors in the next season, after both parties activated the extension clause in the contract, keeping the player in the team's ranks until the summer of 2027.

Martinez had joined Al-Nasr in the summer of 2025 on a free transfer, after terminating his contract with Barcelona, and at the time signed a one-season contract with an option allowing it to be extended for an additional year, which has now been agreed to be activated.

During his first season with the Saudi team, the Spanish defender established himself as one of the key pillars in Al-Nasr's lineup, participating in 43 official matches across various competitions, scoring 4 goals during them, and playing 3717 minutes, confirming his status within the team that includes Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo among its ranks.

Recent media reports had indicated the possibility of the player's departure at the end of his contract, which opened the door to speculations about his return to Europe, but the extension of his contract has closed this file definitively.

Thus, Iñigo Martinez will not be available in the transfer market as a free agent this summer, and will continue his career with Al-Nasr in Saudi League competitions during the next season.
