Mourinho had found what he was looking for in Carlos Espi, whom he signed from Levante and who caught the eye against Fiorentina, further complicating matters for Endrick, as he does not meet the Portuguese coach's requirements and is now a diminished option in an attack already stacked with players like Mbappe, Junior, Diaz and Rodrigo.
Endrick is set to undergo an evaluation period with Jose Mourinho in the coming days, which will determine his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Endrick faces significant risk if he receives little or no playing time, which would prompt Real Madrid to consider approving a loan move, with Roma having monitored the Brazilian for over a month and viewing him as a genuine target for coach Gian Piero Gasperini, who appears to be one of his biggest admirers.
Gasperini sees Endrick as a player capable of operating in either wing position and not just as a pure centre-forward, and Roma's sporting director recently travelled to Madrid to explore the feasibility of a deal and assess Real Madrid's willingness to let the Brazilian leave.
