Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that Spanish Manchester City star Rodri has settled his desire regarding his future, after informing his club's management and Real Madrid that he wants to wear the royal team's shirt during the current summer transfer window.
The newspaper added that Real Madrid reached a verbal agreement with the player, and only the final details of the deal remain to be completed, which may range between 65 and 75 million euros depending on variables, at a time when Rodri is seeking to reduce the value of his transfer to facilitate its completion.
It pointed out that this desire has closed the door on other clubs, most notably Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, after receiving clear signals that the player considers Real Madrid his only destination.
The newspaper confirmed that Rodri's desire to move to the "Merengues" is not new, but dates back several months, and there had even been previous attempts to sign him as part of presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme's project before the elections.
Mundo Deportivo concluded its report by noting that with the transfer window closing, all indications point to Rodri moving to Real Madrid, unless unexpected developments arise that hinder the completion of the deal.
