Al Ahly Club announced the first friendly matches for the first football team, in preparation for the new football season, after the end of the Egyptian national team's participation in the 2026 World Cup competitions.

The Al-Ahly and Al-Nasr Cairo match is the first friendly match for the team under the leadership of the new technical director of the team, Hussein Amouta.
Al-Ahly Club had previously announced thanking the Danish coach Jess Thorup, the former technical director, after the end of the season and the appointment of Hussein Amouta as the new technical director of the team.
It is worth noting that Al-Ahly Club has announced many changes on the administrative and technical side, most notably Wael Gomaa assuming the position of football director and thanking Walid Salah El-Din, in addition to Essam Sarag El-Din assuming the position of contracts director.
