Scottish club Celtic is preparing to submit a new offer to sign the Egyptian Haitham Hassan, player of the Spanish club Real Oviedo, during the summer transfer window.
Haitham Hassan shone with the Egyptian national team in the World Cup, despite participating in only two matches.
According to the Celtic News website, Celtic is determined to sign Haitham Hassan during the ongoing transfer window, despite Real Oviedo rejecting the first offer.
The report explained that Celtic will raise its offer to 8 million euros to sign Haitham Hassan from Real Oviedo.
Celtic had submitted an offer to Real Oviedo to sign Haitham Hassan for 4 million euros, but it was rejected.
Haitham Hassan had a penalty clause worth 16 million pounds sterling last season in the Spanish Premier League, but his contract includes a clause that reduces this amount to 10 million pounds sterling in the event of the team's relegation.
Oviedo will also pay 40% of any transfer fees to his former club, Villarreal, as part of his transfer deal two years ago.
The former French youth international played 37 matches with Oviedo last season, but managed to record only three decisive passes.
Real Oviedo was relegated to the Spanish Second Division.
