Turkish press reports revealed that the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is on the verge of transferring to Al-Ittihad Saudi club, after agreeing to the financial offer presented by the club in the past hours.
The Turkish newspaper "Sabah" explained that Salah, who separated from Liverpool and became a free agent, received a strong offer from Besiktas in the past period, but the negotiations were not completed due to financial disputes related to the player's agent, which prompted the Turkish club to announce the suspension of negotiations.
It added that the Saudi league and the American league were the most prominent destinations proposed to the captain of the Egyptian national team, but Al-Ittihad moved officially and opened the door for negotiations with the player, presenting an offer worth 25 million dollars annually.
According to the report, Mohamed Salah has expressed his approval of Al-Ittihad's offer, given that both parties agreed on the main terms of the contract, while the official announcement of the deal has become a matter of time, after reaching the final stages of the signing procedures.
Salah's name has been linked to many clubs in the recent period, most notably the Turkish Besiktas, where the 34-year-old Egyptian player was offered a salary approaching 20 million euros, including bonuses, and an agreement was reached regarding the commission according to reports.
But Salah's agent, Rami Abbas, initially requested a commission of 7.5 million euros, then reduced it later to 5 million euros, however, the player's representatives then set an exorbitant price for his image rights, which resulted in a difference in the size of the revenues, which contributed to disrupting the deal.
