French player Moussa Diaby, of Saudi club Al-Ittihad Jeddah, has expressed his approval to join the team during the current summer transfer window.

According to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the deal remains contingent on Inter Milan reaching an agreement with Al-Ittihad club, with which the player is under contract, as negotiations between the two parties focus on the appropriate financial terms to complete the transfer.

It noted that contacts between the player and Inter’s management have seen positive developments in recent hours, while negotiations between the two clubs continue, without disclosing the financial value or details of the offer presented so far.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Diaby’s approval no longer represents an obstacle to completing the deal, while reaching a final agreement between Inter Milan and Al-Ittihad remains the decisive step to officially close the player’s transfer file.

Media reports indicated that Diaby views Inter’s sporting project and the opportunity to participate in the UEFA Champions League as the ideal option to continue his professional career, which prompted him to express his clear desire to join the Italian champions.

The Frenchman joined Al-Ittihad two seasons ago from English club Aston Villa, where he played 71 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 31 assists.
