Manchester City is now planning to submit an official offer to sign Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández during the ongoing summer transfer window.

Fernández remains keen on moving to Manchester City and the opportunity to work again under his former coach, Enzo Maresca, at the Etihad Stadium.

According to TEAM TALK, Chelsea is expected to demand more than £120 million for the Argentine player.

The report clarified that Manchester City believes the deal can still be completed before the transfer window closes.

The report also indicated that Chelsea is aware of Fernández's desire to join Manchester City.

Chelsea had previously set a deadline of Friday, August 14, for clubs to submit offers worth £120 million for Fernández, but ultimately no such offer arrived from Manchester City.

The coming days are expected to witness further developments regarding the player's future, especially with Manchester City's continued interest, while Chelsea insists on keeping Enzo in their squad.

It is worth noting that the 25-year-old player has a contract with the London club until the summer of 2032 and is considered a key pillar in the team's midfield.

Enzo Fernández participated in 54 matches for Chelsea across all competitions during the past season, scoring 15 goals and providing 7 assists.
