Manchester City has begun its contacts with the representatives of Portuguese winger Pedro Neto of Chelsea, in preparation for the possibility of signing him during the current summer transfer window.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Neto is one of Manchester City's targets, especially if Savinho's transfer to Tottenham Hotspur is completed during the current mercato.
Romano explained that Manchester City has already contacted the player's agents, but has not yet made any official offer to Chelsea, and direct negotiations between the two clubs have not yet begun.
He added that the value of the deal will depend on Chelsea's financial demands, should the London club decide to open the door to the player's departure.
In contrast, Tottenham has Pedro Neto among its attacking options, but he is not their top target.
The report indicated that Tottenham will only move to sign Neto if it fails to complete the Savinho deal, who remains the London club's top priority this summer.
