Italian press reports revealed that Frosinone club is still continuing its negotiations with Turkish Fenerbahçe in order to sign the young defender Omar Fayed during the current summer transfer window.
The newspaper "Frosinone Today" explained that the club's management submitted an official offer worth 200 thousand euros to buy the player outright, while granting Fenerbahçe 50% of the value of any future sale of Omar Fayed.
It added that negotiations between the two clubs are still ongoing, amid Frosinone's insistence on concluding the deal, as the Egyptian defender is one of the club's top defensive targets in preparation for the new season.
Omar Fayed's name has been linked with several clubs recently, most notably Al Ahly, which is seeking to bolster its defense before the start of the new season.
This comes amid the imminent departure of Moroccan star Ashraf Dari, which will necessitate Al Ahly signing new defenders.
Turkish newspaper Fanatik previously reported that Fenerbahçe recently received an offer from Al Ahly to sign defender Omar Fayed during the current transfer window.
The report indicated that Al Ahly informed Fenerbahçe's management of its desire to secure the services of the 23-year-old defender, as the Turkish club seeks to reorganize its squad and resolve the status of several players ahead of the new season.
