The Turkish newspaper Sözcü revealed new developments in Beşiktaş club's negotiations with the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, confirming that the player is getting closer day by day to wearing the Turkish team's jersey, amid ongoing negotiations between the two parties.
The newspaper mentioned that the Beşiktaş administration took a notable step, after deciding to change the new arrival Ouattara's number from 11 to 20, in preparation for making the number 11 jersey available, which has been associated with Mohamed Salah's name throughout his career with Liverpool, in an indication of the club's confidence in the possibility of completing the deal.
It added that the club president, Serdal Adalı, intensified his movements in the last hours to conclude the negotiations, after reaching an agreement with the 34-year-old player, while talks are still ongoing with his agent Rami Abbas regarding the commission percentage, which was the most prominent obstacle to completing the deal.
The newspaper pointed out that the Beşiktaş president is working to reach a consensual formula with the player's agent to finalize all details.
The newspaper explained that the Mohamed Salah deal is receiving great interest inside Turkey, to the extent that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is following its developments, and requested to be briefed on the latest negotiations, given the great value it may represent in promoting the country and Turkish football on the global level.
