Reports have revealed that FC Barcelona intends to begin negotiations with its player Hamza Abdelkarim to renew his contract, just a few months after signing him from Al Ahly.
Hamza Abdelkarim has made a notable impression for Barcelona during the pre-season preparations for the new campaign, successfully securing a place in the squad of German manager Hansi Flick, the Blaugrana’s head coach.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that FC Barcelona has started negotiations with Hamza Abdelkarim to renew his contract in the coming period.
The Italian journalist clarified that Barcelona is keen on removing the release clause in Hamza Abdelkarim’s contract, which stands at 15 million euros, as the Catalan club seeks to retain the player.
The journalist noted that Barcelona has not yet reached an agreement with Abdelkarim, as the club believes it has sufficient time given that the striker’s contract runs until 2029.
He emphasized that Barcelona aims to settle the player’s situation and organize his status within the team in the coming period.
