The report clarified that Aston Villa is preparing to submit an opening offer to sign Bernal from Barcelona for £30 million.
Meanwhile, Barcelona has not discussed the possibility of Bernal's departure during the summer transfer window, as Hansi Flick, the coach of the Blaugrana, has emphasized the importance of the young player in the team's midfield.
Unai Emery wants to compensate for Amadou Onana's cruciate ligament injury and his absence for the season.
The 19-year-old Bernal participated in 36 matches with Barcelona across various tournaments and competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing one assist.
