According to the Moroccan site Barlaman Sport, Al Ahly reached an agreement with Ashraf Dari stipulating that it would bear his salary during the upcoming period until an agreement is reached with a new club for his transfer during the summer mercato.
The report clarified that Al Ahly's management is intensifying its contacts in order to market the Moroccan defender, as part of a plan aimed at reducing the number of players who will leave the team during the current transfer period.
Al Ahly Club wishes to get rid of Ashraf Dari during the current summer mercato due to not needing him in the next season.
Al Ahly had previously contracted with Dari in the summer of 2024 for 1.8 million euros, coming from the French club Stade Brestois, but he suffered from recurring injuries, some of which took a long time.
Ashraf Dari was content with participating in 26 matches with the Red Giant, and he won two titles in the Egyptian League, a title in the African Champions League, and the African, Asian, and Pacific Champions Cup within the competitions of the Intercontinental Cup, and participated in the 2025 Club World Cup.
