The English newspaper The Sun revealed the latest developments regarding the transfer of Cameroon international Carlos Baleba, Brighton's midfielder, to Manchester United during the summer transfer window.

The newspaper clarified that Baleba has passed his medical examination in preparation for his move to Manchester United.
The Sun reported that the official announcement is expected to be made today.
The deal for the Cameroonian midfielder to join Manchester United is worth £70 million, comprising a base fee of £65 million plus £5 million in add-ons.
United is expected to sign the 22-year-old Baleba on a five-year contract, with an option for an additional season.
Brighton had signed Baleba from Lille for €27 million in the summer of 2023.
At the time, Brighton signed the player to replace the departure of Ecuadorian Moisés Caicedo to Chelsea.
Caicedo moved to Chelsea from Brighton for £115 million, which led the French club to aim to double the amount Brighton initially offered to buy the player.
Baleba joined Lille from a Cameroonian football academy.
