According to journalist Simon Johnson from "The Athletic" network, Emiga will be absent from training for several weeks, while the news seems more positive for Quenda.
The report indicated that the Portuguese under-21 international will be ready to join the team's delegation during the Asian phase of the preparatory tour.
Chelsea will play two matches in Australia, the last of which is on August 1, before heading to face Juventus on August 5.
The report added that Quenda is expected to be among the group preparing to face Juventus, with the aim of getting playing minutes in the final friendly matches.
Chelsea has four friendly matches remaining between August 5 and 15, during which Quenda hopes to make his first appearance in the team's jersey.
The young Portuguese player was absent from Chelsea's 27-player squad that traveled to Australia and Asia for the preparatory camp, alongside the new striker Emmanuel Emiga.
Securing a suitable preparation period for the player is important, so he can adapt to the tactical roles the Spanish coach is expected to assign him during the new season.
