Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has been given the green light to sign Barcelona defender Jules Koundé next January.
The "Team Talk" website reported that the French defender prefers a move to Chelsea despite receiving numerous offers recently.
And that Chelsea will indeed begin moving to sign the 27-year-old player.
The player's price is expected to reach £45 million.
This comes amid interest from several Saudi clubs in signing Koundé, as well as Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Also with Barcelona being open to selling the player to gain financial benefits and free up space in the team's wage cap.
Koundé joined Barcelona in 2022 from French side Bordeaux.
