Mohamed El-Sayed, a midfielder for Zamalek's first football team, carried out rehabilitation exercises on the sidelines of today's Wednesday training session held at the auxiliary pitch of Air Defense Stadium, as part of preparations for the match against AS Port, the Djibouti champions, in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

Mohamed El-Sayed had suffered an ankle sprain during Zamalek's most recent match against Suez Petrojet in the Egyptian Premier League. The medical staff subsequently designed a rehabilitation program for him to follow before rejoining group training sessions.

Zamalek will face AS Port, the Djibouti champions, next Friday evening, marking the start of the White Castle's campaign in the CAF Champions League.

Previously, Zamalek secured a 2–1 victory over Suez Petrojet in an Egyptian Premier League match, with goals scored by Hossam Ashraf and Mohamed El-Sayed.
