Real Madrid, led by coach José Mourinho, suffered their first defeat of the current season after playing yesterday against Real Betis in the Spanish La Liga.
The match between Real Madrid and Real Betis was hosted at "La Cartuja" stadium during the fourth round of the Spanish league, where Los Blancos lost by a single goal.
During the match, Real Madrid player Arda Güler received a yellow card before the end of the first half following a foul on Fornals. Many believe he escaped a red card after committing another foul against Marc Roca in the 53rd minute, but the referee chose not to issue him a second yellow card.

Regarding this, refereeing expert Iturralde González stated in comments published by the Spanish newspaper "AS": "In the first incident, referee Hernández Hernández issued the yellow card because he considered it a stoppage of a promising attack, not due to the nature of the foul itself, knowing that the referee had overlooked issuing cards earlier."
He added: "The second incident deserved a yellow card more than the first one, but this does not mean the first one didn't warrant one as well."
He continued: "Referees have developed a conviction that a second yellow card should only be shown for a much more serious foul than the one that led to the first, which is absolutely not written in the laws of the game."
