Turkish press reports revealed the reason behind Trabzonspor club president Ertugrul Dogan’s reservation in making any decisive statements regarding contract negotiations with Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
According to the Turkish newspaper haber61, Dogan prefers not to speak definitively about any deal before the contracts are officially signed, which is the approach he follows in all transfer files, to avoid announcing any agreement before its completion.
Trabzonspor president had earlier commented on the circulating news regarding contracting with Salah, saying: "There are many matters under discussion, I would like to confirm that so far, there is no such agreement".
He added: "There is no trip or planned contact to Trabzon or Turkey tomorrow, if there was anything, we would have announced it to our fans".
Dogan's statements come at a time when speculation continues about Mohamed Salah's future, amid reports linking the player's name with a move to Trabzonspor during the current transfer period.
In the same context, the newspaper pointed to Trabzon's preparations to finalize all matters related to Salah's joining the team, as the newspaper confirmed that the player is scheduled to undergo a medical examination in Istanbul first next Wednesday and then travel to Trabzon.
It also mentioned that a private plane had been booked in advance due to the flight conditions in the area where the player is located.
