Real Madrid club has entered the race to compete for signing one of Liverpool's targets during the current summer transfer season for the year 2026, according to press reports on Saturday.
Famous journalist Florian Plettenberg stated that Real Madrid submitted an official offer to secure the services of Leipzig star Yan Diomande, who has been linked throughout the recent period with the possibility of transferring to Liverpool.
Liverpool showed strong interest in signing the Ivorian winger as the ideal replacement for Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who departed at the end of last June.
He reported that the financial value of Real Madrid's offer to sign Diomande reached 100 million euros, consisting of 90 million euros as a fixed amount, in addition to 10 million euros in add-ons.

He pointed out that Real Madrid's offer came after a similar offer from Liverpool to sign Diomande, worth 100 million euros, and Leipzig rejected both offers.
He confirmed that apart from that, Paris Saint-Germain has a strong desire to sign Diomande, as no official offer has been submitted yet, and communication is currently limited to Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Leipzig executive Oliver Mintzlaff.
Diomande decided to join Paris Saint-Germain after reaching an agreement with the European champions on a contract valid until 2031, but Leipzig will not approve his departure except for an exceptional amount.
He concluded that if Real Madrid submits an offer higher than the one it made to sign Diomande, the matter will be extremely difficult for Paris Saint-Germain.
