Spanish press reports have revealed new developments regarding the future of Brazilian Endrick with Real Madrid, as the reports confirmed that the last few hours witnessed a state of tension and controversy over the player's situation, amid interest from several major clubs in signing him on loan.
According to the Spanish newspaper AS, Real Madrid has categorically ruled out the possibility of Endrick leaving on loan in the last few hours, given manager José Mourinho's insistence on keeping him.
The Portuguese coach believes the Brazilian striker is capable of playing a pivotal role with the team during the current season.
Mourinho's stance aligns with the vision of Florentino Pérez, Real Madrid's president, who holds Endrick in special regard, while the player himself appears ready to take on the challenge and compete strongly for a starting spot in the team's lineup.
Mourinho's position on Endrick
The newspaper explained that Mourinho was clear in his stance on Endrick, considering him an important player not only in the central striker position but also on the right wing, a role in which the player had previously excelled with Palmeiras, as well as during his time with Olympique Marseille under Paulo Fonseca.
Endrick's performances during the new season's preparation period were decisive in Mourinho's decision to rely on him, giving the player the opportunity to prove his ability to compete within Real Madrid instead of seeking another club during the summer transfer window.
For its part, Real Madrid supports Mourinho's decision to keep Endrick, especially since the club invested large sums in signing him.
According to the newspaper, Real Madrid paid a fixed 35 million euros, in addition to 25 million euros in potential add-ons, with the club's total investment in the player exceeding 80 million euros after accounting for transfer fees, commissions, salaries, bonuses, and taxes.
Endrick's desire
Despite his insistence on staying with Real Madrid, Endrick has not closed the door on the possibility of trying something new in the future if he does not get the playing time he seeks.
Endrick wants a starting spot at Real Madrid and is highly confident in his ability to achieve it, but he does not rule out the idea of leaving on loan during the upcoming winter transfer window if he does not get enough opportunities to play.
Before Mourinho settled his position and kept the player, there were advanced negotiations between Real Madrid and Endrick from Roma and Aston Villa, led by manager Unai Emery, to secure his services on loan.
According to AS, Roma was the more attractive option for Endrick between the two clubs, especially given their participation in the Champions League, along with the possibility of him securing a starting role and being given more space to continue developing.
But for now, Endrick has accepted the challenge Mourinho placed before him and decided to continue fighting to prove himself at Real Madrid, in an attempt to achieve the dream he has had since childhood and succeed in the colors of the Royal Club.
