Media reports have revealed Real Madrid's stance on potentially releasing team player Trent Alexander-Arnold during the current summer transfer window, amid ongoing speculation about his future.

Trent Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid from Liverpool in the summer of 2025 on a six-year contract, after paying compensation to the Reds to finalize the deal before the Club World Cup.

Arnold faced significant difficulties adapting to the pace of Spanish football in his first season with Real Madrid, compounded by frequent injuries that reduced his number of appearances.

Yesterday, media reports emerged suggesting Arnold is a candidate to leave Real Madrid and return to the English Premier League via Newcastle United.

However, the English network "teamtalk" reported that Real Madrid has no desire to terminate its project with Arnold prematurely, according to sources close to the club itself.

The report clarified that Real Madrid views the difficulties Arnold experienced at the beginning of his journey with Los Blancos as a necessary part of his adaptation period, not as a reason to sell him.

It further stated that all rumors linking Arnold with a potential move to Newcastle have been categorically denied, with no expectation of such a deal being completed before the transfer market closes on August 31.

Moreover, Arnold's salary would make any transfer to another club complicated, even if Real Madrid agreed to his departure. It is worth noting that the English full-back is happy at the Santiago Bernabéu and is striving to prove himself wearing the team's jersey.

Arnold is well aware that he needs to give his utmost and elevate his performance level to secure a spot in the starting lineup under coach José Mourinho, who has refused to grant him any guarantees.
