In the league championship, he scored 66 goals wearing Smouha's jersey, and two goals each while playing for Modern Sport, Al-Ahly, El-Dakhleya, and Al-Ittihad Alexandria. He also scored one goal for Tala'ea El-Gaish.
The 33-year-old player joined Al-Ittihad Alexandria at the beginning of this season after terminating his contract with Modern Sport.
Hossam Hassan began his career in Zamalek's youth academy.
Throughout his career, he played for Tala'ea El-Gaish, El-Dakhleya, Smouha, Al-Ahly Tripoli (Libya), Al-Ahly, and Modern Sport.
