Spanish journalist David Sanchez sparked controversy with his statements about Real Madrid club's approach to signing a new deal during the current summer transfer window.
Real Madrid submitted an official offer to sign Yan Diomande from German side Leipzig for 100 million euros, which was rejected, but they submitted a second offer worth 120 million euros.
Diomande is considered one of the most prominent targets that major European clubs such as Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain want to sign during the current summer transfer window.

This deal comes as part of Real Madrid's plan to restructure the team by reinforcing the needs of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.
The journalist said during his appearance on "Radio Marca": "Real Madrid is seeking to sign a player like Lamine Yamal for next season".
He added: "Barcelona already has a 19-year-old player with a brighter and more brilliant future than Diomande, and he is also a European and world champion."
He concluded: "Barcelona plays very good football and only needs some simple development to become more stable, especially in short tournaments like the Champions League."
