The UAE Professional League Association published the names of the 10 candidates, and among them were 5 players from Al Ain, the league and cup champion.
The Egyptian international presented consistent levels that led his team to win the domestic double.
The winner of the award will be announced during the UAE Professional League Association awards ceremony for the 2025-2026 season, on August 10 in Abu Dhabi.
Rabia ended his participation in the 2026 World Cup with the Egyptian national team days ago.
Rabia was absent from the first days of his team's preparation period to get rest after participating in the World Cup.
The club explained that the international players participating with their national teams in the World Cup will join the team later during the camp.
Al Ain's camp in Spain starts on Monday.
Al Ain will play 4 friendly matches in its camp in Spain, which may witness the appearance of the Egyptian international.
The 4 matches will be against Spanish Elche, Saudi Al-Diriyah, French Toulouse, and Spanish Osasuna.
The former Al Ahly defender won two titles with Al Ain last season, the UAE League and the Cup.
