South Sudan's Merreikh Al-Bentiu secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Somali guests Heegan in their CAF Champions League Round of 64 match held at Juba National Stadium.
Merreikh Al-Bentiu's lone goal came from Tout Mayit in the ninth minute of the match.
Merreikh Al-Bentiu qualified for the CAF Champions League after winning last season's South Sudanese league title.
The winner of this match is scheduled to face the victor of the Pyramids FC versus Kenyan Gor Mahia fixture in the tournament's Round of 32.
Pyramids FC will play away against Gor Mahia tomorrow, Sunday, at the Kenyan team's stadium in the first leg of their CAF Champions League Round of 64 tie.
