Pyramids Club has settled on granting the international players, who participated with the Egyptian national team during the 2026 World Cup competitions, an additional rest period before returning in order to join the Sky Blues' training, in preparation for the new season.
The Egyptian national team, with the participation of Pyramids' trio, had bid farewell to the World Cup competitions from the round of 16 after losing to Argentina, with a score of (3-2) after the Albiceleste's comeback in the final minutes of the match.

Hani Saeed, the sports director of Pyramids Club, explained that the international players who participated with the Egyptian national team in the World Cup were granted an additional rest period before joining the team's training.
Hani Saeed revealed that the Jordanian Odeh Al-Fakhoury and Mahmoud Saber, returning from loan, will join the team's training, coinciding with the start of the preparation camp in Turkey on July 23.
The sports director of Pyramids Club indicated that the trio Mustafa Zico, Mohand Lashin, and Karim Hafez will join the Pyramids delegation in Turkey starting from July 29, and will remain in the camp until returning to Cairo.
Pyramids continues its training in Cairo during the current period, under the leadership of coach Roland Moukouna, before traveling to undergo the external camp in Turkey during the period from July 23 until August 9.
