Dr. Mustafa El-Moniri, head of the medical staff at Pyramids FC, announced on Sunday evening the status of Mahmoud Saber, the team's midfielder, regarding his participation in the upcoming match against Al-Masry Port Said in the Egyptian Premier League.
Pyramids FC will visit Al-Masry at 8:00 PM on Monday at the New Suez Stadium, as part of the third round fixtures of the Egyptian Premier League "Dori Awra".
El-Moniri stated in remarks to Pyramids FC's media center that Mahmoud Saber sustained an injury during the recent league match against Abu Qir Fertilizers. Scans confirmed a strain in his quadriceps muscle, ruling him out of the clash against Al-Masry.

The Pyramids FC physician added that Mahmoud Saber will undergo a rehabilitation program to prepare him for the match against Kenyan side Gor Mahia in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
It is worth noting that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) had previously decided to hold the Pyramids FC vs Gor Mahia match in the first leg of the Champions League preliminary round on September 6 in Nairobi.
