Pyramids Club clarified the truth regarding rumors that team player Mostafa Fathi objected to his South African coach, Rolani Mokwena, during his substitution in today's Sunday match against Kenya's Gor Mahia.
Pyramids and Gor Mahia met in Kenya as part of the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, with Pyramids Club winning 2-0.

According to Pyramids Club's media center, for clarification, nothing occurred between Mostafa Fathi and head coach Rolani Mokwena at the moment of his substitution, as rumored.
It added: "What happened was that the fourth official was urging players Mostafa Fathi and Abdel Rahman Magdy to hasten their exit and was counting down for them to avoid imposing a penalty of stopping play for one minute due to delayed substitution, which angered Mostafa, who was already exiting quickly and felt the fourth official was overreacting."
It concluded: "The conversation was not between Mostafa and Mokwena; it was between the player and the fourth official, while Mokwena intervened to calm the player and congratulate him on his performance."
