Pyramids Club announced its signing of Ahmed Abdel Qader, the Iraqi Al-Karma player, as part of bolstering its squad during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Ahmed Abdel Qader had transferred to Iraqi Al-Karma during the previous winter transfer window, arriving from Al-Ahly, while sources confirmed to Yalla Koura that his move to Pyramids was completed several days ago.
Pyramids Club's official Facebook page posted a teaser video announcing the deal, commenting: "There's only one crafty player."
The page then posted another video, commenting: "The crafty one has arrived, Ahmed Abdel Qader at Pyramids," showing the left winger scoring a skillful goal before celebrating among a group of children.
Pyramids stated in an official announcement that the signing of Abdel Qader comes as part of the club's management plan to support the football team with the best talents in all positions amid numerous local and continental commitments in the new season.
The statement noted that Amr Bassiouni, the club's director of transfers, succeeded in securing Ahmed Abdel Qader's signature on his transfer contracts to Pyramids hours before the local registration window closed.
Ahmed Abdel Qader, 27, began his career in Al-Ahly's youth academy before moving to Czech side Sparta Prague, then returning to the Reds, followed by stints at Smouha, Qatari side Qatar SC, and finally Iraqi Al-Karma.
Overall, Ahmed Abdel Qader has played 236 professional matches, scoring 46 goals and providing 27 assists for a total of 73 goal contributions.
