The curtain has fallen on the third round matches of the Egyptian Premier League following Al-Ahly's game against Smouha.
Al-Ahly secured victory in the dying minutes, as Yasser Ibrahim scored the club's winning goal with a powerful shot that found the back of Smouha's net in the 87th minute, sealing a 1-0 triumph.
With this win, Al-Ahly claimed three crucial points, bringing their total to nine after victories in the first two rounds against Eastern Company ENPPI and ZED. They now share the top spot in the Premier League standings with Pyramids FC, both having the same points tally.
This comes after Pyramids FC also secured wins in their first three matches against Ghazl El Mahalla, Abu Qir Fertilizers, and Al-Masry during the third round.
