Jules Koundé, the full-back for Spanish club Barcelona, is attracting interest from five Premier League clubs amid doubts surrounding his future with the Catalan side due to his reduced role in the Blaugrana's starting lineup.
Koundé spoke about being a substitute at Barcelona during a press conference while on duty with the French national team during the current international break, as the team prepares to face Belgium today (Monday) in the Nations League.
Koundé said: "This is my coach's decision. I am in excellent physical condition and have no injuries. If I am getting less playing time, it is because I was far below my usual level last season. This is a challenge that I gladly accept."
The Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United are all interested in Koundé's situation and his future at Barcelona.

The report indicates that Chelsea and Arsenal are among the most interested clubs in signing Koundé, appreciating his defensive versatility and proficiency in playing both as a full-back and a centre-back.
As for the trio of Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City, they are also closely monitoring the situation in anticipation of any potential negotiations in the future.
The newspaper confirmed that there are currently no ongoing negotiations or official offers to sign Koundé, and Barcelona faces no pressure, as the player is under contract until June 2030.
