Premier League Announces Winner of September Player of the Month Award

The Premier League website announced the winner of the Player of the Month award for September during the 2026-2027 season.

Brighton star Pascal Gross won the Player of the Month award for last September, after delivering a performance considered among the best of his professional career.

Gross, aged 35, received the Best Player award for the first time in his career, having contributed to five goals by scoring two and providing three assists.

Gross became the sixth oldest player to win the Player of the Month award, behind Stuart Pearce and Teddy Sheringham who won it at age 38, Cristiano Ronaldo who achieved it last at age 37, Gianfranco Zola at age 36, and Paul Scholes at age 35, who was six months older than Gross when he won it.

Gross surpassed competition from many players such as his teammate Kostoulas, Hull City star Mohamed Belloumi, Leeds United's Jaiden, Liverpool stars Alexander Isak and Jeremy Jacquet, Brentford player Kevin Schade, and Manchester City player Antonio Semenyo.
