The Australian Ange Postecoglou, the new technical director of the Saudi Al-Nasr team, expressed his great enthusiasm for embarking on the new experience with the global team, ahead of the start of the new 2026/2027 season.
Al-Nasr Club had announced the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as coach of the first team, succeeding the Portuguese Jorge Jesus, who left the club after the end of his contract that extended for one season during which the yellow team won the Saudi League title.

Postecoglou said in a video clip broadcast by Al-Nasr via its official account on the "X" platform: "The important thing for me is that I was enjoying my entire career, and I enjoy getting new challenges and competitions, and working with different people to develop."
He added: "The challenge is always the same no matter what the team's situation is, and I have previously supervised teams that were not successful and made them successful, and other teams that were successful and I continued with them in success, and for me the most important thing was to have a good relationship with the people I worked with in the clubs."
He continued: "I am excited about the opportunities we have now and what we can achieve, and Al-Nasr's facility is wonderful and great, and I was told about the headquarters before my arrival, but now that I am in it, it is a wonderful facility, and this is very important because the environment you prepare for the players and the assistant staff is what shapes the situation we will work on."
The Australian coach went on about Al-Nasr Club's building: "Everything here is exactly as it should be, and the most important thing is that it seems like an ideal place for a player to come and work daily, and I am eager to be a part of that, and I also have a lot of ambition and aspirations."
He noted during his statements: "I am happy that the club has this ambition, that's why I am here, I have worked a lot in Asia, and I come from this part of the world, and when I worked in Europe I was always saying that all the success I achieved was difficult."
He revealed: "This does not mean that it was easy with the Asian teams, and I faced difficulties and challenges in every tournament we won, the Saudi League has developed a lot during the past few years, and there are now 4, 5, and 6 clubs, all of which are very competitive and want to win."
He added: "The AFC Champions League Elite is also a high challenge, so being with a team that has some stability is important, and Jorge Jesus did exceptional work last season to win the league, and now the club is ready to go to the next level, so I am here."
He pointed out: "Every year is something new for me, and in this way I have achieved a lot of success in my career, and in every new season I would start with the same mindset, anyway it doesn't matter what I achieved in the past, and it is important that we win something."
He affirmed: "Any club or any person, when they win something and taste it, they want it again, but the most important thing is to remember what you did to achieve that and how much hard work and sacrifices you made, for me I start every year with the same mindset, and I want it to be the best year ever for me, the club, and the people I work with, and this is how we will start our work."
He continued: "Do I always win in the second season? I said that when many people did not believe that we could win anything, and I was at Tottenham Club which at the time had not won any title in 17 years, and had not won a European title in 40 years."
He went on: "And I said it because I was then in my second season with them, and when I was at Celtic we won the double in my first season, and I made this statement because I wanted to confirm to everyone that I knew we could win a title with Tottenham, a club that was not known for winning championships."
He completed: "For me, it doesn't matter if it's my first, second, or third year, and in every year I coach, I want to win the titles, but it's not just about winning but how to achieve it and how to play football."
