Manchester City responded: "The Club maintains its innocence regarding the charges brought by the Premier League and possesses comprehensive and compelling evidence supporting all its positions in this matter. Therefore, the Club will continue its diligent fight and take proactive measures where necessary before all relevant regulatory and legal bodies."
The club's statement added: "Premier League proceedings remain ongoing, with significant elements yet to be completed. Manchester City will now resort to all available avenues of appeal, on the basis that the opinion contains clear fundamental errors in law, principle, and fact, and is unsound."
It continued: "For eight years, the Club has taken due process seriously, based on the expectation that the Premier League Board and Executive would act as an independent, impartial, fair, and non-partisan regulator."
The Manchester City statement concluded: "It is clear that the Club is restricted in what it can say further until all future proceedings are complete."
Manchester City has been charged with 115 counts by the English FA.
