Chelsea started the new season preparation period with an exciting friendly win over Western Sydney by a score of 6-4 in the first appearance of the new coach Xabi Alonso.
Chelsea's match against Western Sydney was held at Accor Stadium as part of the Blues' preparation for the new season's competitions "2026-2027".
Chelsea entered the friendly match with a lineup consisting of: "Sharman Louie, Achimpong, Soboloi, Tosin, Emenalo, Watson, Dario Isogo, Kira Walsh, Ryan Kavuma McQueen, Delap, Satbaev".
Chelsea's goals were scored by Satbaev, Isogo, Gittens, Joao Pedro (hat-trick).
Chelsea is scheduled to play against Tottenham in a friendly derby next Saturday.
Chelsea finished the English league last season in tenth place.
