The South African Football Association reappointed Pitso Mosimane as the technical director of the "Bafana Bafana" national team on Tuesday.
The South African federation presented its coach, Mosimane, to the media to succeed the Belgian Hugo Broos.
Mosimane returns to take full responsibility for the South African national team after having served as an assistant in July 2010, then temporarily assumed the role before being dismissed in June 2012.
Mosimane will begin his journey with South Africa through the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Mosimane previously coached Al-Ahly, winning the CAF Champions League title with them in 2020 and 2021, in addition to securing the FIFA Club World Cup bronze medal and the African Super Cup.
South Africa has been drawn in Group Four of the qualifiers alongside Guinea, Kenya, and Eritrea.
