Newcastle United Club announced today, Friday, that Eddie Howe has informed the club of his decision to leave his position as the team's head coach.
Newcastle agreed to Eddie Howe's decision, expressing its thanks and gratitude to him for his exceptional contributions to the club.
Howe said in statements via the official Newcastle United website: "After a period of personal reflection, I decided that the time has come to leave my position".
He added: "After nearly five years in which I devoted my life, heart, and soul to the club with tireless energy, I feel that it is in my interest and the club's interest to step back a little to regain my energy and take a rest".
He continued: "Despite the difficulty of making this decision, I know deep down that it is the right decision. I have always put Newcastle's interest above my personal interest in every decision I made throughout my time here, and this decision is no different".
He concluded: "Taking on the responsibility of coaching Newcastle United has been a great honor in my life".
