Officially.. Como sign Chalobah from Chelsea

Italian club Como announced signing English defender Trevoh Chalobah coming from Chelsea, during the current summer transfer window.

Como club clarified that Chalobah signed a contract extending for 5 years, in a deal exceeding 30 million pounds sterling.

Chelsea will receive 25.7 million pounds sterling initially, in addition to 5.1 million pounds sterling as additional incentives, following negotiations that lasted for a long period between the two clubs.

Chalobah, who is 27 years old, leaves Chelsea after about 20 years he spent inside the club, since joining the team's academy as a child.

Fabregas's statements about the Chalobah deal

Cesc Fabregas, the technical director of Como, said: "Trevoh is an important player for us, and represents the level of ambition we have in this club. He is a leader capable of raising the level of the team, and I am very happy with his choice to join Como".

Chalobah added: "I am happy and proud to be here in Como, it is an ambitious and evolving project, and working again with coach Cesc Fabregas is a very special matter".

Chalobah's numbers

Chalobah played 151 matches with Chelsea in all competitions, during which he won 5 titles, including the English FA Cup in 2018 and the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2025, and he previously played with Ipswich, Huddersfield, Lorient, and Crystal Palace on loan.

Como participates in the UEFA Champions League next season, after finishing last season in the Italian league in fourth place.
