Al-Shamal Qatari Sports Club announced this Sunday evening its official contract with the Tunisian international Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, player of Al-Ahli Club, to join the ranks of the first football team, starting from the next season.
Al-Shamal Club explained in its statement that Ben Romdhane successfully passed the medical examinations, and he is expected to immediately join the team's training in preparation for the start of the new football season (2026/2027), which will begin on August 20 with the first round of the Doha Bank Stars League.
Al-Shamal will play its first match in the league championship on August 21 against Al-Arabi Club within the matches of the first round of the championship.

He stressed that Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane possesses high technical capabilities that qualify him to provide a real addition to the football team, in addition to the experiences he possesses after his previous experiences with Al-Ahli Club and the Tunisian Club Etoile du Sahel, as well as being a player in the ranks of the Tunisian national team.
Al-Shamal team had concluded its external camp which was held in the Netherlands during the period from July 18 to August 6, in preparation for the new season 2026/2027.
During its successful external camp, Al-Shamal played four friendly matches with the teams: Al-Wasl of the Emirates, Al-Khaleej of Saudi Arabia, OFI Crete of Greece, and Lommel of Belgium.
