Al-Ahly Club announced its acceptance of the resignation submitted by Saad Shalabi, the club's Executive Director.
Al-Ahly issued an explanatory statement regarding Saad Shalabi's resignation due to health reasons.
The Al-Ahly statement read as follows:
Upon reviewing the resignation submitted by Saad Shalabi from continuing in his position as Executive Director of Al-Ahly Club, and whereas Shalabi, during his tenure, undertook noble duties, exerted sincere efforts in serving the club and safeguarding its interests, and contributed through his expertise and diligent work to addressing numerous challenges and important files; and whereas he had previously submitted his resignation from continuing in his position on more than one occasion due to health conditions.
And upon reviewing the requests submitted by the club's subsidiary companies, established in accordance with the provisions of the Sports Law and its executive regulations, regarding their desire to benefit from his expertise in providing commercial, investment, and strategic consultations to them, which would contribute to developing their revenues, maximizing the commercial and investment value of the club's brand, assets, and rights, and achieving coordination and integration among the companies concerning the rights granted to them by the club and their optimal exploitation.
Therefore, the Board of Directors has decided:
First: To accept the resignation submitted by Saad Shalabi from continuing in his position as Executive Director of Al-Ahly Club, effective today, August 25, 2026, while extending sincere thanks and appreciation to him for the noble duties he undertook, the sincere efforts he exerted, and the impactful contributions he made during his tenure.
Second: There is no objection to the club's companies cooperating with Saad Shalabi as an investment and commercial consultant for Al-Ahly Club's companies, in accordance with the proposals submitted by those companies and attached to the meeting minutes. The duration of any contract resulting from these proposals shall under no circumstances exceed the term of the current Board of Directors of the club, which ends in 2029. Each company shall be responsible for completing the contracting procedures and obtaining approval from its own Board of Directors in accordance with the law and regulations governing it.
Third: The administrative, technical, and financial supervision of Saad Shalabi in carrying out his consultancy duties shall lie solely with the Boards of Directors of the respective contracting companies, each concerning its own company. In this regard, he shall have no supervisory relationship with the Club's Board of Directors, its Chairman, or the Club's Executive Management.
Fourth: This decision shall take effect from the date of its issuance, and the relevant authorities and companies shall undertake the necessary procedures for its implementation.
